A New Take on Mysticism

Image
Affirmative prayer is a practice many of us hear referenced each week at Sunday service. It stands as a core practice of Science of Mind, yet for many people it can feel like a specialized skill, something practiced by ministers and prayer practitioners. What if Spiritual Mind Treatment is a doorway anyone can walk through? A simple, direct way to connect with the Divine Mystery? In this four-week class, we'll explore SMT through the perspectives of mystics across traditions: Christian, Feminist, and Modern. Each perspective offers its own entry point, its own language, its own way of touching the sacred. From there, we'll use what we've gathered to craft our own treatments. In the final class, students will have the opportunity to write SMTs for each other, practicing this living art in community. Class Details Dates: Tuesdays, July 14–Aug 4 Time: 10:30 am–12:00 pm Teacher: Anne Marie Cheney, RScP Cost: $50-100, sliding scale Format: In person at the Cente...

Conscious Recovery

What would a Science of Mind approach to recovery from addiction look like? Conscious Recovery begins with a foundational idea: beneath every addictive pattern lives an essential self, whole and complete. Addictive behaviors develop as ways of managing pain and wounds that have gone unaddressed. When we trace a behavior back to its root, we find a person trying to cope, trying to survive, trying to feel okay. This root can be reached through steady inner work. Unlearning beliefs that no longer serve us, shifting how we perceive ourselves and our experiences, and practicing forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude open a path back to that wholeness. For those in recovery, this workshop offers practical tools for returning to the self that has been there all along. Workshop Details Date: Sunday, March 19 Time: 1:00–4:00 pm Teachers: Denise Pool, RScP, and Marielle Taylor, MSP, SUDCC IV Cost: $25-45, sliding scale Format: In person at the Center  Register here:  ...

The Aging Journey

Image
What stories do you carry about growing older? Many of us absorb messages early in life about what aging takes away: energy, opportunity, relevance, choice. These messages settle in quietly, and over time they shape how we move through each decade. What if aging held something else? What if the years ahead brought more vitality, more purpose, more meaning, and more freedom? This is the inquiry at the heart of The Aging Journey, a four-week Spiritual Enrichment Course with Chris Kelly. Together, we'll turn toward the wisdom that already lives within each of us, wisdom that is creative, responsive, and still growing. Each Tuesday afternoon offers space to reflect, to question old assumptions, and to discover what becomes possible when we meet this stage of life with curiosity.   Register here:    https://cslsr.breezechms.com/form/TAG2026   Class Details Dates: Tuesdays, July 7–28 Time: 3:00–4:30 pm Teacher: Chris Kelly Cost: $50-100, sliding scale Format: In...
